Maternity Session – Falls Lake, NC

I can’t even begin to describe how incredible it feels to connect with so many inspiring women who open my mind to the true strength we carry. From the moment Patty and I connected on our discovery call, I was completely taken with her. She was warm, hilarious, insightful, and had an amazing taste in music. A mother to a sweet little boy, she was overjoyed to be growing her family—but her journey to this moment had not been without heartache.

Between her son and this baby, she had suffered a miscarriage. Motherhood, combined with her loss had shaped her in ways that, as someone who is deeply passionate about capturing the raw beauty of motherhood and womanhood through photography, I could deeply resonate with. Patty reached out to me because she wanted to capture this pregnancy in a way that truly honored what her body had been through—the loss, the healing, and now, the miraculous act of creating life once again. She wanted to cherish this fleeting time, to pause and savor these last moments as a family of three before they grew to four.

As a photographer who specializes in capturing the unique beauty and strength of women, especially during moments of vulnerability and self-empowerment like maternity and motherhood, I am constantly in awe of the journey each woman has traveled and the resilience they display. Each session is a bespoke experience, tailored to the individual and their story, creating images that are not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful and empowering.

Through my work, I hope to not only create beautiful art but also to help women see themselves in a new light, to celebrate their journey, their strength, and their beauty.
